
ALI CEDERHOLM

Ali Cederholm is a versatile artist originally from Waunakee, Wisconsin and currently based in New York City. Her childhood was spent immersed in performance at The Kehl School of Dance, where she also began her choreographic journey. As a young adult, she received additional training from Central Midwest Ballet Academy and Barrio Dance as a member of the inaugural cohort of Barrio Dance Factory. In 2020, Ali began teaching weekly intermediate/advanced contemporary drop-in classes in Madison and setting commissioned work for local studios such as Move Out Loud, Life Dance Academy, Spotlight Dance Academy, Kehl School of Dance, and Vibe the Place to Dance.
Ali is a 2025 Summa Cum Laude graduate, and a Jan Veen scholarship recipient from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance and an emphasis in Dance Composition. Throughout her studies, she has performed works by Aszure Barton, Ken Ossola, Kurt Douglas, José Limón, Jennifer Archibald, Asia Pyron, Norbert De La Cruz III, Sidra Bell, Brandon Lee Alley, William Isaac, James Viera, Flockworks, and Peter Chu. In both 2023 and 2024, she was selected to travel to Los Angeles alongside Jennifer Archibald to perform at the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center at one of the largest K-pop festivals in the world.
Additionally, Ali has spent her years at the conservatory developing her choreographic voice and process. Combining geometrical, musical, and mathematical charting alongside impulse driven music production, her ensemble work DIRGE marked the start of her largest and most recent creative process. Her sophomore work Landline was recently selected to be restaged on her graduating Boston Conservatory class for their Senior Performance Project, and debuted in New York City and Boston in May of 2025.
Ali is a current company member of Lam Dance Works under the direction of Boston Ballet's renowned John Lam. Outside of her studies, Ali has spent time attending various programs at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Perry Mansfield, Visceral Dance Chicago, LA Contemporary Dance, Generation IV Dance, SALT Dance, and Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. Ali aspires to continue immersing herself in versatility and intentionality across all genres and paths of dance, teaching, mentorship, and dance-making.
